How we work

From the first call to every renewal.

We do the work. You make the decisions.

Step by step

What happens, and when.

01

You ask

Tell us how to reach you, on the form or by phone. No bills or documents needed yet, and no obligation.

02

We call

We talk it through: what you have, what's worrying you, and what a good outcome looks like.

03

One signature

After we've spoken, we send you a Letter of Authority to sign. It lets us gather information from your suppliers and negotiate on your behalf. It never lets us agree a contract for you. It lasts 12 months, and you can withdraw it at any time.

04

Your Meridex Map

Every service, contract, cost and end date in one place. What needs attention, what's already right, and where you're paying more than you should.

05

You decide

We set out the options side by side, in plain English. For energy and water, our commission is shown per unit and in pounds over the contract. The decision is yours.

06

We handle the switch

The paperwork, the supplier and the follow-up are ours.

07

We keep it right

Every end date goes on our renewal watch, and we come back to you early. You also get your Meridian Report: once a year, or every quarter for multi-site clients.

Who does what

Clear about what we do, and who decides.

Meridex

Gathering information, comparing prices, recommending, checking bills, watching end dates, and looking after the paperwork, switches and supplier queries. We compare the suppliers available to us. That isn't the whole market, and we tell you how many we compared.

Suppliers and providers

Supply the service, set the prices and terms, and send the bills. Your supply contract is with them.

You

Only you can agree a contract.

Installation partners

For solar and EV charging, our installation partners carry out the work, and your installation contract is with them. We tell you who they are before you agree anything, and support you from start to finish.

For metering and site works, the meter operator, network operator, water wholesaler or an approved installer carries out the work. We arrange it and support you from start to finish.

Your questions answered

The things people ask us most.

How long does a Meridex Map take?

The quicker we have what we need, the quicker it comes back. Once you've signed your Letter of Authority, we ask for your latest bills and a list of your sites. We collect the contract details, usage and account information for every service you use, from power and water to phone lines and waste. Our team then looks at what you have and what you need, guides you through it step by step, and brings you solutions as soon as possible.

What is a Meridex Map?

A clear picture of every service your business uses: sites, meters, contracts, suppliers, end dates and costs. It shows what needs attention and what we recommend. If your current arrangements are already right, we'll tell you.

Do I pay you anything?

There is no fee to pay us. For gas, electricity and water, the supplier you choose pays us a commission, included in your rates, and we show you the full amount before you agree anything.

How long does the Letter of Authority last?

12 months. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing compliance@meridexgroup.co.uk.

I'm mid-contract. Is it worth talking now?

Yes. We'll note your end dates so nothing is missed, and check what you're being billed now. For energy, many suppliers let you agree your next contract months before your current one ends. We'll watch the market with you, and if prices are good, you can lock them in early so you're ready for your end date.

Will switching interrupt my supply?

For energy and water, no. Only the company that bills you changes. For phone lines and broadband, we plan the switch to keep any downtime short.

Do I have to move everything?

No. Start with one service if you prefer, and add others later.

Do you look after multiple sites and half-hourly meters?

Yes. Talk to us first, with no obligation.

We're moving or opening a new site. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us early, and we sort your services at both ends. See Moving or adding a site →

What is the Meridian Report?

Every account, what you spend, what you use, and where it can work harder. Once a year for every client, every quarter for multi-site clients.

Are you tax or legal advisers?

No. We provide business services. We flag rules and reliefs worth checking, and your accountant or adviser confirms what applies to you.

What if something goes wrong?

Tell us first and we'll put it right. Our Complaints procedure explains how. For energy services, you can also go to the Energy Ombudsman.
